The sequal ‘Majer Majgit mor eller Majbritt’ is a vibrant and intimate portrait of my mother. In June 2024, I traveled to Cuba, where I documented her life abroad while trying to grasp my social heritage. My parents have lived in a hotel room in Cuba for five years - she spends all her time by the pool and the sea, reading, reflecting on her life and having conflicts with the staff due to cultural differences. The film illustrates her background, behaviour, private sphere and everyday life.
